I was born in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to the U.S. when I was 6. My first language was Korean and I still speak Korean to my parents. I attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and majored in Economics with a concentration in Business. After a short time in the private sector, I found my calling to become a teacher. I attended DePaul University for a Master's in Mathematics Education.
My husband and I recently welcomed our daughter to our family. We enjoy the outdoors and anywhere tropical!
The picture on the right is from our time in Alaska. My friend and I are standing in front of Aialik Glacier, where we watched the glacier calving!
